The meeting started with the recitation from the Holy Quran, The Chairperson NACTE welcomed the members for sparing time to attend the meeting.
Chairperson then asked Secretary NACTE to present agenda items for deliberations. .
Highlights of the meeting:
During the meeting, the Council reviewed the progress made since May 2025 and appreciated NACTE’s efforts in strengthening quality assurance and accreditation processes for teacher education programmes across the country. The Council noted that 19 Zero Accreditation visits and 32 Formal Accreditation visits were conducted during the period, alongside orientation sessions, consultative meetings, and the development of revised accreditation tools, including those for virtual and distance education.
Members also reviewed and appreciated the development of Green Papers on key teacher education reforms, including teacher licensing, curriculum revamping, and national teacher education pathways. The Council decided that further improvements and feedback from members would be incorporated before finalization.
